LTPS LCD controller and driver with an integrated multi-touch capacitive touchscreen controller

TC3300 is a controller and driver for a LTPS LCD with an integrated multi-touch capacitive touchscreen. It supports gate drivers in panel (GIP) and 1:3 source de-multiplexers. It provides the GIP power supply and GIP control high voltage signals with embedded level shifters. Its 1080 output channels offer 256 gray-scale voltages for both positive and negative polarity. The gamma correction circuit allows adjustment to panel characteristic to optimize the display quality.

TC3300 supports MIPI®-DSI® v1.1 interface with 4 lanes and resolution up to Full HD 1080RGBx1920. The data rate up to 1Gbps per data lane.

TC3300 integrates MTP ROM for initialization setting, Gamma, VCOM and ID1/2/3 which can be rewritten 3 times. The data is loaded from MTP during the starting process of display.

TC3300 integrates Parade’s exclusive Smart-Backlight™ function for color and power optimization. It reduces the total power consumption of display module.

TC3300 is designed for COG (Chip on Glass) assembly, with an integrated touch screen display below 6 inches (4mm pitch). It is suitable for compact and medium-sized portable solutions such as tablet PC and smart phones.

The TC3300 combines the high SNR and noise immunity of TrueTouchTM technology with the display driver to provide premium touch features to the mass market. The TrueTouchTM firmware intelligently switches between display and touch scan modes to manage power while maximizing SNR.
