TC2070V is an automotive grade 1452/1440/1380/1284/1212/1176/1128/1092/1044-channel source driver for high resolution TFT LCD. It is designed for COG (Chip-on-glass) application. The input interface is SIPI™ (Scalable Intra Panel Interface) which was developed and patented by Parade Technologies. SIPI is a high speed, point-to-point interface between the Timing Controller (TCON) and Source Driver (SD), including the TC2016. The SIPI intra panel interface provides scalable bandwidth with reduced bus width, low EMI and low power, a more robust protocol to establish the high-speed link, and enhance system reliability. SIPI was developed to address the newer demands created by increased display performance on notebook and tablet PCs and other consumer electronics applications.

On the output side, the TC2070V converts 8-bit (RGB888) digital data into a 256-level gray scale analog voltage for each sub-pixel channel. It also supports up to 22 reference voltages for Gamma correction. For implementation specific applications it can be configured to 6-bit color depth.
