PS8925 – PCI Express Gen 4 16Gbps 4-Lane Retimer

The PS8925 is a bidirectional, 4-lane retimer (using a total of 8 data channels) that supports PCIe (PCI Express) Gen 4, with data rates up to 16Gbps.  It is ideal for applications such as workstations and enterprise data center systems including storage and servers.

As a retimer, the PS8925 removes unwanted and potentially error-inducing signal distortion introduced by cross-talk or system noise, or from physical interface loss including PCIe interconnect cables, PCB traces, and connectors.  The device enhances data transmission reliability and enables longer PCIe interconnect cables and/or PCB traces, enabling system scalability.
