PS8838 – USB-C 20Gbps Retiming Switch for Host Application with USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 and DP 2.1 UHBR20

The PS8838 addresses high-speed signal switching and signal integrity requirements for implementing a USB Type-C® (or USB-C®) connector on a USB host device that supports the VESA® DisplayPort™ Alt Mode Standard. The PS8838 is fully compliant with USB3.2 and DisplayPort version 2.1 specifications. It supports USB 3.2 transport data rates up to 10Gbit/sec (Gen 2) and DisplayPort data rates up to 20Gbit/sec (UHBR20). With the implementation of adaptive receiving equalization and transmitting output FFE, the PS8838 helps customers’ PCB designs meet compliance requirements and achieve robust performance in terms of signal integrity.
