Active port configuration switch for USB Type-C®, for devices with DisplayPort Sink or Branch function

The PS8742 addresses the high-speed signal switching requirements for implementation of a USB Type-C connector on a device that supports the VESA® DisplayPort Alt Mode Standard and includes a DisplayPort Branch or Sink function.  For devices that include a DisplayPort Source function, please refer to the PS8740.  The PS8742 includes redriver circuitry for the Super Speed USB and DisplayPort single paths to overcome signal loss in the switch and internal system interconnect.
