Company will display its technology at the Video Electronics Standards Association’s (VESA®) DisplayPort™ TechZone Pavilion at the Las Vegas Sands Expo and Convention Center

SUNNYVALE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jan. 3, 2008–Parade Technologies Ltd., a leading developer of digital video display interface products, announced today that it will be featuring its DisplayPort technology at the International CES 2008 show, held in Las Vegas from Jan. 7-10. The company will feature its technology at the Video Electronics Standards Association’s (VESA®) DisplayPort TechZone pavilion at booth number 71857 at the Las Vegas Sands Expo and Convention Center. Parade Technologies will be one of 12 member companies featuring DisplayPort technologies that enable a common interface across both internal and external display connections, and make high-quality audio and video available to display devices over the same cable.

Parade Technologies will host a live demo of its DP621 product, a Direct Drive Monitor Controller with DisplayPort Receiver, on a WSXGA LCD display with resolution at 1440×900 pixels. The DP621 provides a scalable and interoperable digital display interface with optional content protection interface to address broad applications in PC or energy efficient embedded display devices. The DP621 input port supports 18/24 RGB formats from DisplayPort transmitter devices and it combines a DisplayPort receiver core, which converts, un-packets and de-serializes incoming media stream. The DP621 integrates a microcontroller and a programmable LCD Timing Controller plus a RSDS or mini-LVDS output signaling format to interface with column drivers and row drivers for various applications inside LCD panels. Parade Technologies will also host a live demo of its DP601 product, a Dual Mode DisplayPort Receiver to drive a WQXGA monitor with 2560×1600 pixels plus 5.1 surround sound audio speakers. All video and audio contents are sent through the DP501, a dual mode DisplayPort Transmitter, and a 30 meter DisplayPort cable.

Parade Technologies will also showcase a Cable Adapter powered by its PS8121E product that converts a DisplayPort connector of a dual-mode source device to either a Digital Voice Interface (DVI™) or High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI™) connector, for applications in personal computing systems and other emerging digital appliances. The PS812E can be configured as a DisplayPort source repeater or as an HDMI/DVI source level shifter. . Different level receiving equalizations can be set by either a pin or by a local control 12C to compensate different PCB trace losses. The PS8121E, when configured as a DisplayPort repeater, can automatically adapt to a link training command to adjust pre-emphasis levels and/or output swing levels through the DisplayPort AUX channel.

Both Parade Technologies and VESA personnel will be available at booth number 71857 to answer questions on the new DisplayPort technology and the newly approved version 1.1a of the DisplayPort interface standard that adds support for high bandwidth digital content.
