Parade Technologies Reports Third Quarter 2012 Results

Financial Highlights:
- 3Q12 consolidated revenue NT$1,436 million, up 5.24% from previous quarter
- 3Q12 consolidated net income NT$402 million; Basic and Fully diluted after-tax EPS NT$7.79 and NT$7.43, respectively
Parade Technologies, Ltd. today announced consolidated revenue of NT$1,436 million (US$48.2 million) and consolidated net income of NT$402 million (US$13.5 million) for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012. It also announced that its basic and fully diluted after-tax earnings per share (“EPS”) was NT$7.79 and NT$7.43, respectively.
Quarter-over-quarter, in NT dollars, third quarter consolidated revenue increased 5.24%and consolidated net income increased 1.31%. Compared to the same period of 2011, third quarter results represented an 178.70% increase in consolidated revenue and 426.64% increase in consolidated net income.
The third quarter gross profit was NT$740 million, which is 4.51% and 201.34% higher than the previous quarter and the same period of last year, respectively.
Based on the current business outlook, management expects overall performance for the fourth quarter of 2012 to be as follows:
- Revenue: Approximately US$34 ~37 Million
- Gross Margin: 48.5% ~49.5%
- Operating Expense: Approximately US$8 ~9 Million
During September and October of 2012, Parade announced three new products; the PS5101, PS8402A and DP633/643/653. The PS5101 is a highly power efficient HDMI- to- MHL transmitter that converts standard 19-wire HDMI video streams into 5-wire MHL for transmission to external TVs and CE devices. The PS8402A is the world’s first DisplayPort-to- HDMI adaptor with jitter-cleaning technology for VESA’s new type 2 Dual-Mode DisplayPort adaptor. And the DP633/643/653 series ICs are the world’s first eDP Tcons with integrated memory for the PSR function, which significantly reduces power consumption and extend battery life in notebook computers.
