PS8651V – DisplayPort™ 2.1 Multi-Stream Hub Controller With DP and eDP downstream TX ports
PS8651V is an advanced DisplayPort 2.1 MST hub which converts the incoming DisplayPort MST data into two DisplayPort or eDP output streams.
The DP receiver in PS8651V can take DP link rates up to HBR3 (8.1Gbps/lane). The DP transmitters output the data rate up to HBR3. For eDP output, PS8651V supports the additional eDP link rates of 3.24Gbps and 4.32Gbps, and the EMI friendly reduced TX swings. The side-band channel uses 1Mbps Manchester-coded AUX signaling for DP source to communicate with DP sink.
PS8651V is capable of processing up to 8 DP audio-video streams, compressed or uncompressed input. FEC decoding and encoding is used for the reliable reception and transmission of DSC1.2a compressed streams.
The video routing logic in PS8651V allows flexible routing of the incoming DP MST steam and converting into any combination of DP MST, SST stream onto the output ports.
PS8651V supports single video split into 2 individual segments onto the output ports, along with or without HDCP and/or with eDP ASSR. Each port has its own HPD and AUX interface. PS8651V supports up to 8k x 2k at 60Hz HDR resolution for this splitting video.
