PS301 HDMI/DVI Switch Has Been Certified for HDMI 1.2a Compliance by the HDMI Authorized Test Center
SUNNYVALE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Sept. 5, 2006–Parade Technologies, Ltd, a developer of digital video display interface products, announced today the successful development of its PS301 3-to-1 and PS201 2-to-1 HDMI/DVI switches, which are designed for high volume digital TV/projector and audio video receiver applications. A 3-to-1 HDMI repeater system based on PS301 device has already passed HDMI 1.2a compliance tests at the HDMI Authorized Test Center.

The PS301 is a 3-port digital video interface (DVI) or high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) switch that allows up to 3 ports of DVI or HDMI to be switched to a single terminal while the PS201 is a 2-port to a single port DVI or HDMI switch. PS301 and PS201 are pin-to-pin compatible devices. Four TMDS channels, one hot plug detector, and one DDC channel are supported on each port. Each TMDS channel allows signaling rates up to 1.65 Gbps.
Samples of both PS301 and PS201 are currently available, with volume production scheduled for Q4 2006. Both devices are housed in an easy-to-use 80-pin TQFP RoHS package. PS301 is priced at $3.00 while PS201 is priced at $2.50, both in 100,000 units.
