Parade Technologies, Ltd. Delivers High Performance HDMI/DVI Repeater Solution
PS101 HDMI/DVI Repeater Enables New Digital Video Applications

SUNNYVALE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–December 11, 2006-Parade Technologies, Ltd., a leading developer of digital video display interface products, announced today the availability of its PS101 HDMI/DVI repeater, which is capable of meeting performance requirements of both HDMI 1.2a and HDMI 1.3a. This product enables new consumer video usage models such as HDMI input on the front or side of large-size flat-panel digital televisions. In addition, this product can also serve as a signal conditioner for notebook computers with 1080p HDMI output.

“Although HDMI connectors were on the back side of TV in the past, new consumer electronics devices such as HD-ready DVD players and camcorders are demanding more convenient placement of HDMI connectors on display devices. Consequently, cost effective HDMI repeater solutions can enable many new usage models,” said Jack Zhao, President and CEO of Parade Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Parade Technologies, Ltd. and its United States marketing representative. “With the introduction of PS101, Parade will accelerate the adoption of next generation digital video applications.”

The PS101 is a single-port digital video interface (DVI) or high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) repeater with programmable equalization on the receiver side and pre-emphasis on the transmitter side. This chip also comes with a built-in I2C repeater, and each TMDS channel allows signaling rates up to 1.65 Gbps.

Samples and demo kits of PS101 are available now, and volume production is scheduled for Q1 2007. This device is housed in an easy-to-use 48-pin QFN RoHS package and will list for $1.6 in 100K unit volumes.
