The PS8828 addresses high-speed signal switching and signal integrity requirements for the implementation of a USB Type-C® (or USB-C®) connector on a USB host device that supports the VESA® DisplayPort Alt Mode Standard.  It supports the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 configuration and DisplayPort data rates up to 8.1Gbit/sec (HBR3).  To compensate for PCB signal loss and other signal distortion, the PS8828 includes a signal retiming function.
