PCI Express® Gen 2 / SATA 6Gb/s Bidirectional Redriver
PS8556 is bidirectional signal redriver that supports both PCI Express Gen 2, with data rates up to 5.0 GT/s, and SATA, with rates up to 6 Gb/s. The PS8556 operates with a single power supply at 1.2V, 1.35V, 1.5V (PS8556A) or 3.3V (PS8556B). In a typically application, the PS8556 is placed close to the PCIe® or SATA connector to compensate for board losses and regenerate high-quality electrical signals for improved link reliability.
